The Elbrian Civil War:

    After the death of the last true king of Elbria an age old conflict between the two ruling dynasties has spurned a bloody conflict, and in the fray a third kingdom has risen on the western island of Caldania. The Caithian dynasty of Avadon claims ancient ties to Elbria's greatest kings, whilst Athelard is favoured amongst the Elbrian nobility, and the rebel warlord of the west is the illegitimate bastard child of the previous king lending his spurious claims merit.
    The ambitious King Eldwin of the Caithian dynasty has forced a civil war, he now leads the Avadonian clans of the north in a war to claim the throne. For generations the ancestors of the Caithian dynasty have claimed the throne of Elbria, though when decades of pushing claims through courts and moots yielded no results, Eldwin and his supporters renounced the king, and steeled themselves for war, now armies march across Elbria, as foreign armies make sail to take advantage of the upheaval, Avadon will have to fight more than just their kin in this brutal war.
    Athelard, the patriarch of the Faedian dynasty, has always been the favourite of the Elbrian nobility on the isles. With the backing of his friends, and the overwhelming support from the council of Lairds he ascended to the throne of Elbria, but his kingship has been the center point for strife and warfare despite his competent and favourable rulership. When diplomacy failed he was quick to act with wrath and force, and all rebellion in the south was quelled. His armies are better equipped than his foes, and his wealth has no end, but fighting on two fronts will come with a high cost.
    Duke Malcolum the Black, the Black Prince of Caldania, is a wild illiterate drunk, born to an impoverished Telvanian noble woman who was scandalously the concubine of Elbria's last king. Believing that the throne rightfully belonged to him he made his claim known, and sent messengers across the land to gather support, but when his claim was rejected he rallied an army of rebels, bandits and backwater barons and their retinues to his cause. The clans of Caldania were quick to hear his call, and soon the island was swiftly under his control, and he has now set his eyes on the entirety of Elbria.

 

    The Veronnese Wars:

    To the south west rests the gem of Euros: Veronne, a lush land where the first civilizations had their founding. For the past several decades it has been in termoil, as revolution sparked by religious furocity shook the land, and sent it spiralling into war. Three lords with the ambition of uniting the land under one banner, an ambition which will cost the lives of tens of thousands of Veronnese soldiers, and tens of thousands more should outsiders interfere...
    Gian di Borisio, revolutionary lord who ascended from a poverty stricken farm, to lord of the fastest growing kingdom in Euros. He is a man who exudes revolutionary and religious fervour, an inspiring and charismatic liege. In his short time he has alread succeeded where others have failed in uniting Fiora and Turasainne, and he was swift to set his gaze upon Serdana and Maserainne, but his vassals may serve to be his downfall, as his armies run disorganized and violently across enemy territory, if he wishes to fulfil his goal, he will need generals and not just lords to carry out his whims.
    Vibianne Prisca de Alleda, Dogaressa of Maserainne, the fairest lady of all of Veronne, but beneath her enchanting visage lies a woman of immeasurable power: An Arsceni. Like most of her kind, she is by nature driven to power. Under the lordship of Vibianne, Maserainne has been the sole force maintaining the balance of power on the isles, but the strength of Maserainne has been challenged, and they must head out to meet their challengers! For the time being Vibianne will focus on quelling the rebellious Malvanese, but she knows full well that the only way she will secure her reign over Veronne is when all of her rivals have been destroyed.
    Doge Marinus Augustus de Vannes, lord of Serdana, is a man who revels in intrigue, and backstabbing in both senses of the term is second nature. No stranger to underhandedness and plotting, he has foreseen all outcomes of the Veronnese wars before they had even started, some speculate that he even had his hand in the Malvanean's sudden rise to power. Marinus is content to allow the Maserainneans and Malvanese wear eachother out on the battlefield, and bide his time for the perfect opportunity to strike and end the reign of both of his rivals in one fell swoop.
